Six Sentence Sunday

Once again, another six taken from The Colonel's Man. While she had been grappling with Jason and then some, Arita had managed to aggravate her wound. Though with Jason's hands on her in the solitude of an empty gym, it didn't look good for either of them when Drew entered the scene. Of course, they'd been doing something else earlier but Jason had never been one for admitting defeat.

“I hope I’m not interrupting.” Drew walked up to them, wearing desert tan
boots, tactical trousers, a black shirt and a neutral expression on his face.

“The new boss and I were just getting acquainted with grappling techniques.”

Jason laid a fresh dressing over her wound and started packing up the medkit.

“Aggravated her boo boo is all.”

WHACK! Ouch!

Jason rubbed the back of his head and turned to find Arita glowering at him.

Six Sentence Sunday

Thanks to an ISP issue (which I unfairly blame on Roger), here I am I week late for Six Sentence Sunday. So wait, if the saying goes about being a day late and a dollar short, did someone just filch seven bucks from me?

Today's six is taken from The Colonel's Man. After being discharged from the MedBay Arita, being her usual stubborn self, decided to to go work out against doctor's orders. A busted punching bag turned into a sparring match with Jason. However since she wasn't exactly in perfect shape to be fighting, down she went. And the take down turned into something a little bit more... intimate.

She shifted her hips again.

“Fuck! Will you stop doing that?” He bit back his groan and the impulse to slam
his own head into the mat just so he wouldn’t think about how he wanted to rip off her pants, pull down his and bury himself into her.

“What? This?”

She wriggled again and managed to get one hand free. Swearing, he recaptured
it, looping his forearm under the back of her neck and holding her arms down. The new position gave him more control but brought his lips temptingly closer to hers.

Six Sentence Sunday

And another Sunday, another Six taken from The Colonel's Man. Arita, being her good old stubborn self, insisted on getting out of bed and standing on her own two feet. Considering she'd just undergone major surgery it was a bad idea but fortunately Jason was right there along with a pair of strong arms that were ready, willing and able to catch her.

She nodded as he withdrew the hand and arm he’d been holding out in case she
went down. When she was sure she wasn’t going to face-plant again, she shot him a
look from under her lashes, her lips quirking. Spirits, he really had no idea who she
was, did he?

“An extraction’s a cute idea for a first date, but I’d eat you for breakfast,
handsome.”

The blue eyes turned smoky and his smile shifted slightly as he replied in a
huskier voice. “Well if it means I get to return the favor, you can nibble on whatever
part of me you want.”

Six Sentence Sunday

For the sake of our sanity and coffee, Roger and I have managed to extend the truce. He was more amiable with the selection for this week's Six Sentence Sunday from The Colonel's Man. Arita, previously known as the "package", had just woken up in the medical bay after she'd taken a hit during the escape. However she hadn't been alone the entire time...

Hard muscle and satin skin lay under her fingers, inviting exploration but she resisted. At some point he’d showered and changed. She frowned.

“How long have you been here?”

“All night.” He spoke in a baritone still heavy with morning gravel. “The doctors
said I could stay if I didn’t bother anyone.”

Six Sentence Sunday

Ever since Mina talked to me about joining Six Sentence Sunday for the first time, Roger and I have been constantly bickering about what should we choose and boy did it get mean! Heated arguments, questions about one's sanity and swiping coffee before one could drink it. Coffee had been the last straw and no one wanted spilled coffee so a truce was called and cooler heads prevailed.

For our first ever six I've selected a scene from The Colonel's Man where Jason and Drew had managed to free their 'package' from her initial predicament. However the baddies know they're there and things are about to get hairy!

More shouts reached their ears as he reached out and grabbed her hand, hooking
it under the strap of his tactical rig. She frowned, leaning closer to listen to what was going on out in the corridor.
“Look, I can shoot. Three guns are better than two.”
“I’m sure you can, lady,” he said as he watched Drew go right into the corridor
with his carbine set to rock and roll. “Not that I don’t trust you it’s just that… I don’t
trust you. With a weapon anyway. Now quit arguing with me and just get ready to
move.”

Colonel's Man

Alrighty then. After months of hard work, long hours, evil plotting and coffee I am proud to announce that my very good friend Mina and I have finally launched our new book called Colonel's Man.

Now Available On Amazon | Barnes and Noble | Smashwords | Kobo | All Romance | Bookstrand | Apple

The first in the Section Three series of books it follows the story of Gunnery Sergeant Jason Scott, the bad boy specialist operator and Colonel Arita Rhade, the tough head of the infamous black ops unit called Section Three.

With Jason the consummate Lothario and Arita the no-nonsense boss, anything other than professional conduct between them can't possibly be but with more to the other than meets the eye and enough sparks flying between them to start a firestorm, can something that strong really be denied by self control and protocol?

Intense action, will they/won't they tension, witty repartee's and enough erotic heat to rival the sun set in the wild interstellar frontier of the distant future, Colonel's Man is a surefire romance adventure to make your day and then some.

Throwing The Switch

Wow... my very first blog.

I keep wondering if I'm usually more talkative and animated when I'm conversing with Roger, my pet rock, especially when he refuses to hear my side of the argument. Can you say stony silence? (chuckles)

When I was thinking of the name to call the blog I suddenly thought of "The Factory"; a place that ideas go through and come out something different. Not so much like a typical factory where things are mass produced but more of like a place where each item made is unique, built up from raw materials and made into something different and enjoyable. Like a custom built sports car.

Great. Now I can hear Roger heckling at me with that line. Shut up Roger!

So watch out for my future ideas and upcoming launch of my very first book; a collaboration with my very good friend Mina Carter.

And here's to throwing the switch to The Factory and as it comes online let the good ideas come.
